links; all but one have 18 holes. These range from modest
municipal courses
to world-class private clubs. Some are set along the coast,
while others back against the mountain with sweeping views of the
lowlands. The high-class resort areas of Kaanapali, Kapalua, and
Wailea are built around golf courses.
Waiehu Municipal Golf Course is the
best deal on the island at only $25 for 18 holes, but a cart will cost
you $15. Maui Country Club lists at $45, including a
cart, and Pukalani Country Club is $55, cart included. At the
other end of the spectrum, the Grand Waikapu Resort Country Club wants
$200 for a round, and Kapalua Golf Club and Makena Golf Courses want
$140.
Tee off in paradise on one of the islands most prestigious
courses. You'll have no distractions on this course - unless you
consider the unobstructed views of the blue pacific, neighboring
islands, and humpback whales breaching during whale season to be
distracting!
