Beacon Hill
Park
Beautiful Beacon Hill Park extends
from the back of the museum to cliffs overlooking Washington's Olympic
Mountains and the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Windsurfers, hang gliders,
joggers, and picnicking families fill the park on summer days.
There's also a petting zoo for the kids.
Saanich Commonwealth Place
Featuring a wave pool and 160° water
slide, a steam/sauna/swirlpool, and more fun for the family.
Swan Lake Christmas
Hill Nature Sanctuary
Nature preserve contains marsh for
birds and mammals, and hills for wildflowers and hiking.
Race Rocks Marine
Protected Area
A set of small islands, intertidal
and subtidal reefs, located just south of Vancouver Island in the Strait
of Juan de Fuca.
