VICTORIA ATTRACTIONS
During out trips to Victoria, we haven't
been fortunate enough to visit all the attractions we'd like to, but
that just leaves more for next time!
Most of Victoria's attractions are
natural or historical. The ambience of the town is
attraction enough! People come from all over the world to sip
a cup of tea at the Empress Hotel, or to wander through the splendor
of Butchart Gardens.
Whale watching is perhaps the most
popular activity on Vancouver Island, with dozens of boats leaving port
each day. We've found that you usually see gray, minke, or killer
whales, and there are lots of these! We've seen whales on every
trip we've been on, at least a tail here or there.
The historical, victorian
atmosphere still abounds, and it's about as close to
England as you can get without being there. Sandra's family
especially enjoyed shopping in the city.
