VICTORIA DINING
Victoria is renown for its
London-style pubs, but there are many other choices here as well.
From the tourist-laden harborside eateries to small cafes, you'll
have no problem finding
somewhere to fit your taste.
During our last visit, we tried
out Spinnaker's Brew Pub,
which turned out to be quite excellent for a pub. It was much
classier than the usual brewpub, and offers live music on the
weekends. We also tried the
Wharfside, which was
overpriced and touristy, but after looking at a blandly prepared
menu for the longest time, we were pleasantly surprised by the
quality of the meal. Also harborside is
Milestone's,
which has a family-style restaurant above a harborside open-air bar.
Their fish n chips and drinks were quite memorable.
Dining here is more expensive than
in most Canadian cities, but If you're interested in saving money,
the
Entertainment Book offers 50% savings on dozens of area
eateries. For more information on dining in Victoria, visit
