Golf
|
Golf is one of those games that you have to commit yourself to
learning in order to be any good. We play as often as
possible, but unfortunately, it's not nearly enough to be what
we'd consider decent. Right now, we get out a few times a
year, usually frequenting the local Portland and Vancouver, WA
area golf courses, but occasionally we'll take a little side
trip for the links. |
We've written up some course reviews of the courses we've played,
complete with photos, descriptions, maps, directions, rates, coupons
and discounts. More to come soon, but it's all we've put
together so far. To visit a particular course review page,

On Christmas Day, 2001 we trotted back onto the course for a round at Kukulolono Public Golf Course in Kalaheo, Hawaii, on the island of
Kauai. The course was set on a mountaintop, with panoramic
views of the ocean, valleys and surrounding mountain ranges.
Set amongst the palms and Japanese gardens, with roosters joining us
on each tee, it was an extraordinary experience. The course
itself isn't maintained that well, and isn't anything special, but
the setting, as well as the price ($7/person for 18 holes, $6 cart
rental!) made it perfect. We quickly found out that golf is a
game you have to stay in practice to score well at, but we had a
great time.
Course reviews coming soon include the Kukulolono Golf Course in
Kalaheo, Hawaii, Hartwood Golf Course in Battle Ground, Washington
and the Running Y Resort Course in Klamath Falls, Oregon.
We've included our Golf
Directory, which consists of links to all things golf,
particularly in the Pacific Northwest.
We'll be adding photos, links and information to the site
periodically, so don't forget to check back!
