Chateau Bianca Winery

On the outskirts of Dallas, Oregon, off Highway 22, 20 miles west of Salem, this winery has a nice on-site vineyard with picnic facilities and a bed and breakfast.  The staff was rather unenthusiastic and not very helpful, and the wines were not very distinct.  Our favorite here was the 1997 Estate Reserve Pinot Noir, but the Rhapsody intrigued us.  It was almost like drinking apple cider in a way, as it was incredibly aromatic, but despite the strong aroma, the wine itself was not very sweet at all.  We left Chateau Bianca empty-handed, and it's remote location will probably prohibit us from returning any time soon.
